The Bandodkar Trophy, now known as the Bhausaheb Bandodkar Memorial Trophy (then known as Bandodkar Gold Trophy), is a football tournament held in Goa and organized by the Goa Football Association. The tournament began in 1970 and ran continuously until 1992. After a long break, it returned in 2015. In 2016, it was revamped but it went on hiatus again until 2023. The tournament has now resumed from 2023 and serves as a valuable preseason competition for teams preparing for their upcoming seasons.
The Bandodkar Gold Trophy was the first significant cup tournament hosted by the Goa Football Association (GFA), with the trophy being contributed by the then Chief Minister, Dayanand Bandodkar. The tournament saw participation from leading clubs in Goa, as well as teams from various other Indian states and abroad. Dempo SC emerged as the most successful club in the competition, winning the title eight times, while Salgaocar FC won the last prominent edition held in 1992.
In 2024, the tournament features 8 teams, including two from Argentina and Australia. The remaining teams are fielding their first teams from the Indian Super League (ISL) or I-League. The tournament began on August 24, 2024, and is scheduled to run until September 6, 2024.
